Prof. Fan Zhiyong | Chief Scientist
Prof. Fan Zhiyong also serves as the Chair Professor at the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering and the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. He received B.S. and M. S. degrees from Fudan University, PhD degree from the University of California, Irvine in 2006 then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in 2007~2010. Currently, he is the Co-director of the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Display and Optoelectronics Technologies at HKUST, He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, a Fellow of Optica, a Senior Member of IEEE, an Academician of the Asia Pacific Academy of Materials, and Founding Member of the Young Academy of Sciences of Hong Kong. He has won a number of awards, including the 2022 Tencent Xplorer Prize, the 2022 HKBOC Science and Technology Innovation Prize, Shandong Natural Science Second Prize, 2022 and 2020 Top 10 Research Progress on Semiconductors in China, HKUST SENG Young Investigator Award, Outstanding Research Award, etc.
Dr. Ding Yucheng | Founder & CEO
Dr. Ding Yucheng is the founder and CEO of AI-Vision, bringing nearly a decade of expertise in micro/nanoelectronic devices, optoelectronic devices, and bioinspired sensors. His research has led to significant advancements in the development and application of cutting-edge sensing technologies.
Dr. Ding has an extensive academic background, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Nanjing University and a Ph.D. from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at HKUST, continuing his research in advanced materials and sensor technologies.
His work has been widely recognized in the scientific community, with over 20 publications in prestigious journals such as Science Robotics and Science Advances. His research projects span multiple domains, including bioinspired infrared imaging sensors and compound eye vision systems.
Mr. Shen Ke | Co-founder & CTO
Mr. Shen Ke is AI-Vision’s Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), who leads the development of key hardware components and oversees production management.
Prior to co-founding the company, Mr. Shen Ke worked as a Camera Product Engineer at Xiaomi Group, contributing to the development of smartphone camera modules. His expertise lies in imaging technology, hardware design, and product management.
Shen Ke holds a Master of Science in Optics and Photonics from Imperial College London after he obtained a Bachelor of Engineering from University College London (UCL) in the UK. He is currently pursuing a PhD at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, focusing on AI-Vision’s optoelectronic devices research.
Mr. Zhao Jianhao | Co-founder & CMO
Mr. Zhao Jianhao is the Co-founder and Marketing Director of AI-Vision, responsible for overseeing market expansion and ensuring the company’s efficient and stable operations.
Before joining the company, Zhao Jianhao accumulated extensive experience in the automotive and technology sectors. He worked at Changan Automobile for three years, holding roles as a Marketing Specialist and Assistant to the Vice President, where he played a key role in optimizing the company’s supervision system. He later contributed to AI-Sensing (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. as a Research Assistant, further strengthening his expertise in technology-driven industries.
Zhao Jianhao holds a Bachelor’s degree from Sichuan University and a Master’s degree from the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He is currently pursuing a PhD at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), focusing on advanced research in his field.
